Two ways to pay, laid out plainly. No joining fee, no membership, no contract.
One casual class
$50a class — two hours on court · GST included
First class free — that's the trial.
Come one class at a time with nothing locked in. Your child trains in the same small group as everyone else, with the same coach, and during the trial we give them a quick assessment so we know the level they're starting from.
A whole season
$40010 weekly classes — $40 a class · GST included
- A Go Badminton uniform, sized and handed over when your child enrols
- Registration included — no registration fee and no uniform fee
- Shuttles and court hire provided at every session
- A written season report at the end of the season
- A tournament to finish the season
- Miss a class and tell us before it starts? The $40 comes straight back as credit — every time, no limit
A season is 10 classes at the same venue, same day and same time, one a week. No lock-in and no auto-renewal: when the 10 are done, you decide whether to book another block.
Either way, the first class is free. You don't pay anything until you've seen a session and decided.

The one thing that isn't included is your child's racket. Bring one if you have it; if you don't, every centre we use keeps rentals at reception. Most families eventually buy their own, along with proper court shoes — there's no rush, and we'll tell you exactly what to buy so you don't waste money on the wrong thing.
The fair question
You can find cheaper badminton. Here's the difference.
There are cheaper ways to get a child onto a badminton court, and we'd rather name the difference than pretend it doesn't exist. Almost all of them are supervised play: an adult present, everyone safe, mostly games, and a good time had. That is a real thing worth buying — but it isn't coaching, and the two look identical from the sideline.
The gap shows up in three places:
- How many childrenAbove about eight per adult, nobody can correct an individual — they can only run the group. Ours is six, and it's a hard limit
- Whether there's a planAsk what your child is working on this week. A program that's coaching can name the rung; a program that's supervising has nothing to name — which is why almost nobody publishes a pathway. Ours is published in full
- Whether anyone measuredEvery skill here is graded on the same 0–100% scale and written up at the end of the season. Without that, "they're improving" is an impression, and you find out in a year
That's what the $40 is buying: a coach with six children instead of twenty, a pathway your child is measurably moving along, and something in writing at the end. Over ten weeks, supervised play produces a child who has had fun. Coaching produces a child who has had fun and can play.

More than one child
Sibling discount
- Two children$720 instead of $800 — $360 each
- Three children$1,020 instead of $1,200 — $340 each
Each child still gets the full 10 classes — the lower price buys the same season, not a shorter one.
The sibling discount applies to your family's first season. After that everyone is on the standard season price of $40 a class. We apply it for you — you don't need to ask or enter a code.
If one child does two classes a week, that's a different discount: 10% off every block, for as long as they're enrolled — not just the first season.
Missed classes
If you can't make a class, you don't lose it
Families get sick, go on holiday, and have birthday parties on Saturdays. The rule is simple and there's no limit on it:
- You tell us before the class startsWe credit the $40 back — every time
- You don't tell us, or you tell us afterwardsThe class is used up
- You know in advance at sign-upWe take those weeks off the bill, so you never pay for them
You tell us using a short absence form we send you when you enrol — it takes about fifteen seconds. The reason we're strict about telling us beforehand isn't money: it's that we roster coaches to the children who are actually coming, and a coach standing on an empty court is the one thing that genuinely wastes everyone's session.
What a credit is worth
A credit is one $40 class. You can use it as a make-up class in another session, or take it off your next season's payment — your choice. Credits are shared across your family, so a credit earned by one child can be used by their sibling.
If you want a make-up class, just let us know your preferred session at least 24 hours beforehand so the coach has room for them.
Credit, not cash. We don't do cash refunds — money that comes to Go Badminton stays as class credit. But the value never disappears: it comes back as classes, and we'd rather you use them than lose them.
Joining partway through
What if a season has already started?
You can start any week — you don't have to wait. Your $400 buys your child's own first 10 classes, counted from their first day, so you're never paying for classes that happened before they arrived.
Once those 10 classes are done, we bring your child onto the same season cycle as the rest of their class, and the first payment after that covers just the remaining weeks of that season. We'll show you the arithmetic when we send it — there are no surprise amounts.
Paying
You don't pay anything to come to a trial. When you enrol, we send you the payment details by text along with the class details — bank transfer or cash, whichever is easier. All prices on this page include GST.
